CYDIA AWARDS® 2025

A highlight of the Cyprus Diaspora Forum® 2025 was the prestigious CYDIA Awards® 2025, celebrating outstanding individuals whose achievements, leadership, and influence have elevated Cyprus on the global stage. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, Mr Nicodemos Damianou, representing the President of the Republic of Cyprus, H.E. Mr Nikos Christodoulides, together with Ministers of the Republic of Cyprus, His Beatitude Georgios III, Archbishop of Cyprus, Ambassadors, High Commissioners, dignitaries, and international representatives.

Among the evening's highest honours, the Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Dr Theodoros Potamitis, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry Diaspora Entrepreneur Award to Demetrios Constantinides, the Diaspora Ambassador Award to Loucas Pouroulis, and the Impact Award to the Chief Scientist of the Republic of Cyprus, Demetris Skourides, on behalf of the Cypriots of the diaspora. The Legacy Award was presented posthumously to British Cypriot music icon George Michael, recognising his extraordinary legacy and enduring global influence. Together, these exceptional recipients exemplify the talent, leadership, and lasting impact of the global Cypriot community.

The CYDIA Awards® 2025 took place on Saturday 10 May 2025 at the prestigious Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Limassol. The formal gala featured an outstanding entertainment programme with performances by Vasiliki Hadjiadamou, Batukinio, Shiakallis Dance School, Aliki Chrysochou, Sofia Patsalides, and internationally acclaimed Greek Cypriot artist Loukas Yorkas, creating an unforgettable evening celebrating excellence, culture, and Cypriot pride.
